Liverpool's chances of signing Spanish starlet Dani Ceballos look to have been dashed after the youngster penned a new deal at Real Betis, but the Reds are still hopeful of recruiting Inter's Andrea Ranocchia.

Speculation was rife that Ceballos would leave Betis when his contract expired next year, but the creative talent has signed a new deal until 2020 and told the club's official website he hopes to remain for years to come
